Second training of experts in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation in Libya

23.09.2013

In the scope of victim`s assistance project »Training of experts in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation in Libya« funded by the Republic of Slovenia, ITF conducted the second workshop from 9 to 12 September 2013 for prosthetics and orthotics technicians in Tripoli, Libya. Over 20 participants coming from different parts of Libya (Benghazi, Tripoli, Misurata, Gharyan and Zawia) have been actively engaged not only in theoretical but also in practical hands-on work.  A special educational movie has also been developed for the purpose of continued education of Libyan experts in the area of prosthetics and orthotics. The feedback from the participants has been very positive and they are keen to participate in similar workshops in the future. With the workshop ITF is supporting building of national rehabilitation capacities in Libya.
