New donation of Ireland to the ITF

05.09.2003
Ireland and ITF signed the Memorandum of understanding for the new Irish donation in amount of 115.450 Euro. The Memorandum was signed by the Irish Ambassador in Slovenia, H.E. Mr Gary Ansbro and ITF director. The donation will be used for the support of mine clearance operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the mechanical ground preparation for support of Entity Armed Forces demining. EAF demining is coordianted through SFOR. Bosnia and Herzegovina is still one of the most mine-affected countries in the SEE region with more than 1 million mines and UXOs still contaminating the land. The donation will help in restoring the return of the peoples lives to the path of normalcy.
