NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session in Ljubljana

01.06.2005
As a part of NATO Parliamentary Assembly spring session, taking place in Ljubljana between 27-31 May 2005, a Science and Technology Committee also held session. There Mr. Dorijan Marši? ITF director gave presentation on the demining operations in the region of South East Europe titled "Social Impact and Technical Capabilities on a Field of Humanitarian Demining in the Region of South East Europe”.
At the same time he also introduced the strategy of anti-mine activities in mine-affected countries and regional cooperation as the example of good and positive practice.
He stressed that the international community should continuously help the region of South East Europe, regardless of the efforts of national capacities, to reach the goal of ‘’free of impact of mine until 2009.’’
