Cooperation of Germany and ITF in Serbia Renewed

First New German Donation for Serbia through ITF since 2009

ITF and FR Germany acting through Embassy in Ljubljana signed on 02 November 2011 a new Memorandum of Understanding for Cluster Munitions Clearance in Republic of Serbia in the amount of 90.000 Eur.  The Donation shall be implemented on the project location Jalovik 2 in The Municipality of Vladimirci (near Šabac). After completion of all tendering processes and selection of the implementing partner in the end state an area of 84.809 square metres is planned to be cleared and returned for safe use to the local population.

Federal Republic of Germany was the biggest Donor for Demining in Serbia until the end of 2009, and the second biggest taking into consideration all projects implemented through ITF in Serbia.
